So excited to share the news that the Metuchen Downtown Alliance has been named as a semi-finalist for the 2023 Great American Main Street Award!
Thank you to our Executive Director (Isaac Kremer), Board Members past and present, Borough Council, and especially to all of the volunteers who have helped to get us here, and a very special thank you to all the residents in and around Metuchen keeping our Downtown buzzing and energy flowing all year long!
This is an exciting part of our journey that after just 6 short years, we have achieved this recognition! Stay tuned in March 2023 when the official winner is announced – fingers crossed!
Selection Criteria: Winners are selected from a nationwide pool of applicants by a jury of Main Street professionals and leaders in the fields of community and economic development and historic preservation. Criteria for winning include: strength of the Main Street program in spurring community transformation, commitment to historic preservation, innovative programming, implementation of cross-sector partnerships, community outreach and stakeholder engagement, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
