Membership Notice: A vacancy for a property owner seat for the Board of Trustees has occurred. All District members (business and property owners) should submit their nomination for this seat to info@downtownmetuchen.org by 5pm on January 26th 2024. Further details can be found here.

Valentine’s Day– Join us as Downtown Metuchen plays Cupid! “Buy Me Love” Promotion details below (please email us at info@downtownmetuchen.org if you would like to participate):
-January 20th to February 29th
-Customer visits your business and pre-purchases an item(s) for their Valentine.
-Provide a Downtown Cupid postcard to customer to write recipient’s name and details (multiple cards can be given)
-Have customer place card on store window. All postcards must be taken down by March 1st 2024
-Business should collect customer details and recipient details to contact them using this form (link here)

Find Your Love Downtown
We will be having a special promotion day on February 10th for Valentine’s day. We will have volunteers dressed as Cupid handing out Valentine’s cards to visitors – if you would like to provide an offer to be included in the cards, please email us (e.g.: 10% off, free cookie, BOGO etc.). Please let us know of any specials for that day or weekend to share.

Lunar New Year –
-Lunar New Year is from February 10th to February 24th. 2024 is the year of the dragon.
MDA Lunar New Year Celebration
-Saturday February 24th from 11:30am to 2pm (N.B.: date and time are subject to change and being finalized).
-If you would like your business to have a lion dance performance and provide a red envelope to performers (traditionally red envelopes contain a monetary donation to the lion for good luck and prosperity), please email us and volunteers will decorate your business for a stop. Please provide any specials or offers you may want to include during the festival month and/or on the 24th.
