RH Doaz is a talented muralist recognized for his bold, vibrant, and thought-provoking large-scale artworks. He recently created the large scale mural titled “I went to the Woods”. It can be found right here in Metuchen behind the Starbucks on Rt 27. This beautiful piece, commissioned by the Metuchen Downtown Alliance with support from the Arts Institute of Middlesex County and The Maven Group, serves as a gateway artwork project that highlights important environmental issues for our community and the nearby Middlesex Greenway trailhead.
RH DOAZ is known for his vibrant patterns and whimsical imagery that invite us to reflect on the imperfections of life while celebrating the beauty around us. The mural’s title pays homage to Henry David Thoreau’s “Walden,” and beautifully captures the essence of the flora and fauna along the Greenway nature trail.
Doaz’s art often combine elements of street art, abstract expressionism, and cultural symbolism, transforming public spaces into immersive visual experiences. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling, RH Doaz uses his art to explore themes of identity, community, and social justice. His work can be found on walls across various cities, where he strives to inspire dialogue and connect people through the power of visual art.
